As you may remember, in April I earned the qualification of ‘Qualified in Newborn and Baby Photography’ Guild Membership, reflecting the level of competence that families can expect from their session and subsequent images (read more in our blog here).
I was delighted to learn that following this, I was to be awarded a double page spread in issue 25 of Creative Light – what an honour!

I am so proud that this image, which is one of my favourites, was chosen to recognise my work. This really captures my individual style: a beautiful baby, combination of textures, co-ordinated tones and my signature inclusion of flowers. As many of you know, I previously had a successful chain of florists across Hampshire, and I love to bring my two passions together to create a beautiful image. Although many photographers now seem to be including flowers in their sessions, my professional floristry experience means that I am able to combine colours that others may not consider, and use a wide range of real flowers (interspersed with silk buds) knowing which are in season to create the most stunning image.
