CAKE SMASH & 1ST BIRTHDAY 

A cake smash photography shoot is a fun way to mark your baby’s 1st birthday; it’s lovely to see your child joyfully smashing cake, and makes great pictures too!   

This is always a wonderful and memorable session. Before the mess and play begins, I like to start with a birthday portrait of your baby using your choice of outfits and props from our extensive range and finish with a splash in our baby bath tub. 

I will always tailor and personalise the session and am in contact beforehand to ensure we use decorations that suit your desired themes (anywhere from Disney, to mermaids, to jungle, or a more stripped back, natural session). I like to personalise sessions with balloons, bunting, colours, outfits and cake designs, and have an extensive range to suit your desired choice.  

Following the portrait image and after a quick change into a themed ‘Cake Smash’ outfit, the playtime begins! We head to the personalised set-up and introduce the yumminess that is the cake! This is when we love to see baby’s individual personality shine through, whether they get stuck in or delicately nibble at the cake. I will snap away whilst your baby explores the wonderful textures, eating, throwing, squidging and playing with their very own birthday cake. 

I am continually sourcing a wide variety of cake smash props and outfits from global suppliers to ensure I have a vast selection of themes available. However, if you would like to incorporate a specific theme, please do not hesitate to let me know – I will happily work to source accessories to achieve your chosen theme (please note, this may incur additional costs). 

Finally, we will have a clean up in our bubble-filled tub, having even more fun with some foamy giggles! And with something as delicious as cake we don’t want any wastage, so I box up anything that has been left for you to take home and enjoy!
