Lovely families and beautiful children continue to inspire me to create beautiful images for their precious keepsakes. Many of the images are considered to be at such a high standard that I am continually encouraged to enter them for review by The Photographers Guild, the highly respected association for all photographers.
I am delighted that a number of my images have won several awards. Whilst this is great recognition of the professional work I so enjoy doing, it is also recognition of the beautiful babies, children and families I am fortunate enough to work with – without these families or Clients who are a pleasure to photograph, a photographer like me will find it difficult to succeed, so a big thank you to the parents and the children that have the patience and the passion to allow me to create such stunning images for them.
Most recently, a collection of my work for the last year has been assessed by The Photographers Guild. I am thrilled to have now been awarded the ‘Photographers Bar’, a distinction that is very difficult to achieve, in fact less than 200 photographers from the UK and overseas have achieved it since its inception 5-years ago.
Guild Director, Lesley Thirsk commented, ‘I am delighted for Lyn, as this is a great achievement. Reaching the required standards to become a member of the Photographers Bar is very demanding. It illustrates Lyn’s commitment, skill and consistency as a professional photographer, this is something she should be immensely proud of.’
I would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of my wonderful families who have helped me grow and develop in my profession. Together, we continue to create the images you can look on with wonder and I can represent as the fruits of my profession.
With four children of my own, I recognise just how important it is to capture the moments that fly by so quickly, newborn, sitting, first steps, 1st birthday, watch me grow, and so on. We continue to develop techniques and settings to create unique and memorable images for the families that come to visit us and whilst awards are always wonderful to have and demonstrate the high standards we consistently achieve, at the end of the day, my greatest reward is the smiles I am able to place on my families faces.
