NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

Ahead of your session, I will provide you with tips on how to keep baby calm/settled for the photoshoot.  Safety is my priority, I have been fully trained in the art of safely handling and posing newborn babies and having 4 children myself, have always been around babies/children.  Ideally, your newborn session will take place whilst the baby is between 5-14 days, however,  as this may not always be possible, we are still able to capture wonderful images up to 4 weeks.  Please be aware, the older the baby is, the less sleepy and more alert he/she will become, making it slightly more challenging to capture those idyllic ‘posed’ shots.

Whilst visiting the studio, my aim has always been to provide you with a home from home environment, ensuring that you have everything you need including refreshments, magazines, in-studio bathroom facilities, wifi, phone charging and of course a cosy and comfortable sofa!   The studio is set within a beautiful location, and should you bring older siblings with you, you are welcome to go for a walk around the farmland.   Your session can potentially last between 2-4 hours, depending on how settled baby is.  Your only job on the day is to sit back and relax! Having discussed your chosen theme prior to the session, I will be hands-on, safely posing baby in a variety of props and outfits.  I am fortunate to have a huge variety of newborn outfits, wraps, blankets, hats, hairbands, in almost any colour you can dream of. I would encourage you to visit either of my social media photography pages (Facebook and Instagram), for an example of newborn images taken during previous sessions, this is extremely helpful to understand the styling and colour theme you may wish to have.
